Harvest Happenings

This week at Harvest...

December 3, 2021

Merry Christmas Harvesters!

This month the children’s department is following a daily Advent Devotional on Sundays, created by The Village Church (https://www.villagechurch.org/pdf/2021-Advent-Devotional.pdf) Please feel free to bookmark this site or print off the PDF to follow along from home during the week.

Also this Christmas, the children’s department will be doing something new! Because Jesus came to seek and save the lost, we as a church body want to give to those in need. We will have paper ornaments listing items needed hanging on the Christmas tree upstairs if you wish to participate. Simply purchase the item(s) listed on the ornament tags, then return them, unwrapped to under the tree (with the ornament tag attached) and the staff will deliver them on Monday and Tuesday, December 20 & 21.

Also, as small groups are wrapping up this month for the semester, please start thinking what other fun small groups you may wish to participate in in the spring!

December 5 – Video Camera Operator Training, immediately after service. Lunch will be provided.

December 12 – Youth Group Christmas Party! 12 – 2 pm. For grades 7-12 - Ugly Sweater fashion, White Elephant Gift Exchange ($5-10) and bring a dessert to share! Lunch will be provided.

December 19 – Christmas Services at Harvest! 8:30 am and 10 am. This year for Christmas, we will be having family services so all children preschool ages and up will join in both services. For those of you willing to change up your routine and come to the early service, there will be delicious sweets awaiting you as well! Our live stream will only be online during the 10 am service.

Every year Harvest has loved to bless our church families with a gift. This year we will be gifting some delicious breads and coffees (one per family) and they will be available Christmas Sunday (12/19) upstairs after each service.

December 24 – Christmas Eve Candlelight Service, 6-7 pm. Please celebrate Christmas Eve with us and stay after for a brief time of cookies, cocoa and (if needed, parents!) coffee! This event is unique and will have elements that prohibit us from live streaming, so please join us in person if you can! If you love to bake Christmas cookies, we’d love it if you could bring some for this event! If possible, it would be great if you could drop cookies by the office before 12/24 so we have time to set them up before people arrive.

December 26 we will be back to our regular 10 am service.

“Unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given…” (Isaiah 9:6) *spoiler alert: Best.Gift.Ever!*

Sweet Christmas blessings to you all,

Sarah
