Let's face it — Harvest Church has a great name. And a great name deserves a great logo.

Welcome to Harvest Church's new logo — the mighty Moose!

Why a moose? Is Harvest church thinking of opening a taxidermy shop? (No!) Or maybe operating an Alaskan hunting guide enterprise? (Maybe... just kidding) Perhaps Harvest is preparing to open a family-friendly woodland safari? (Sorry!)

The thing is...we believe that a moose is one of the best (probably THE best) symbol of a true Alaskan HARVEST. Get it! Harvest. Moose. Furthermore, the moose represents an ABUNDANT harvest, similar to what the Word of God promises God's people.

Psalm 65:11 (NLT) "You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance."

Jesus is the giver of abundant life — "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly" (John 10:10b, NKJV).

When we think of a moose, we think of ABUNDANCE. An abundance of weight, height, strength, and sustenance for many Alaskans. The moose represents the abundant life freely offered in Christ. That's what Harvest Church is all about — abundance. Abundance of worship, prayer, teaching, fellowship, grace, faith, God's presence...and the list goes on.

So, that's why we chose the moose to represent Harvest church.

Plus, our new logo just looks really, really cool!
